Beard Care

There's more to beard care than just throwing on some nice smelling beard oil. A good beard needs a good routine. Below is the routine that I use. 

Now, all beards are different and there are many ways to look after your beard but I hope that explaining my routine will help shape yours.

Step 1.

Using a hairdryer on medium heat, brush your beard with a boar bristle brush down the jawline towards your chin, do this both sides while following the brush with your hairdryer. The slight heat will help untangle and straighten your hair (i do this as my beard can be quite unruly)

Step 2.

Use a wooden beard comb, to help remove any last tangles, you'll find the comb will run pretty smoothly through the beard without any snags. 

Step 3.

Grab your favourite beard oil, apply a few drops (depending on size of the beard) into your palm and massage into your beard, use your comb to brush it through as we want the beard oil evenly spread throughout the beard. Remember, you want to make sure you apply enough Oil so it reaches the skin.

Step 4.

Apply some beard balm. Balms usually melt pretty quick when rubbed into your palms, once melted, apply the balm to the beard then give a quick brush with your comb.

So that's my beard care routine and it works pretty well for me but as stated at the start, every beard is different and everyone has there own preferences. I hope it helps get your started!
